Natalie Potell is a hostile environments and emergency first-aid trainer for Global Journalist Security. A certified Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in Virginia, Natalie is an Adjunct Instructor at the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Academy. She is certified to teach adult, pediatric and infant CPR, and has expertise in Bloodborne Pathogens and Haz-Mat Operations. Natalie served one year as a contract Firefighter, EMT and Lead Engineer in McMurdo Station, Antarctica –for which she received the Antarctic Service Medal. Natalie has also been awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Besides training others in emergency operations, Natalie is a writer expected to graduate this year with a BA in Creative Writing from George Mason University.
